Online sex games
One of the genres that look like the next big thing, in adult gaming, are online sex games. With so many people playing online everyday, in MMORPG's like World of Warcraft, there seems to be an enormous potential. And let's not forget the endless possibilities an online erotic game offers, the suspense and experience it can provide. But most of the previous announced online games were cancelled, or have a rather vague upcoming release date.

So far the only real online sex game available is Red Light Center, it's a bit like Second Life without the fluff and a better graphical engine. It has a large community of players, so there are always people to fool around with. RLC also offers various forms of erotic entertainment, like sex movies and virtual galleries.

Second life is also out there, still getting loads of media attention worldwide, like they just found out it exists, while it was already available in 2003. And although the game contains some sex, it's basically not a sex game, and the graphics are just outdated too much to make it a believable experience. The creators 'Linden Research' opened up their virtual environment for developers outside Linden, to create content and projects. But above all, they should work on a new engine, and a more intelligent way to stream the content over the web.

Erotasy Island
The game Erotasy Island is still in development, as far as I know, the release date is set to early 2008. How the game will look, or what the game play will be like, is still unknown. The only images on the website are artist's impressions and concept artwork. The whole idea looks promising, I hope they can keep the project going and meet their expectations.

Virtual Hottie 2
This game has been released last quarter 2006, a typical sex simulation game, with decent animations and graphics. The makers of Virtual Hottie released a free mini game called "Zoomtang" earlier this week, which focuses on the sex animations alone. If you want to unlock some extra features there is an option to purchase add-ons.

There are a few sex games in development, one of them is our own 'exploration of sex' simulation, a first impression can be found in the article "The next Station". This game will be available later this year. I also know that a few game studios are working on a new erotic title, but I'm not allowed to share any information yet. As soon as I can provide a preview or review I'll post them in our adult games section, so stay tuned!
