The incredible pictures Ian is creating have an ongoing sexual energy, strong and full of layers. He plays with his subjects like a painter of the flesh. Adding and changing until the image has reached it's own destiny. The creativity Ian is displaying in his work is endless and diverse. His free art can be divided in three theme's, although some are overlapping each other.

Nudes:
Glamour nudes and nude portraits, both female and male. Some are rather basic but most of them have a small story line. Like the girl gift, a girl in a candy box and the cowboy girl.

Erotic Art:
Digital manipulated images of both suggestive and explicit sex. Very unique representations of human sexuality in al it's beauty.

Erotic Surrealism:
Work inspired by surrealistic artists like Salvador Dali and Margritte. Never ending landscapes, symbolic usage of atributes and a flirtage with sex, live and death. The world of the dream revealed as old Freud would like it to be :-) Weren't all our dreams of a sexual nature? Wasn't sex our mayor drive in live? In the work of Ian it surely is.

When I first stumbled across the work of Ian's I thought that he was a talented artist in the search for his personal style (subject) and that it would result in a choice for one of the theme's I described. I could not imagine that an artist could keep al these different path's developing at the same time. Apparently I was terrible wrong. If you are a creative fountain, like Ian, you can.
