The Lovechess erotic art |

The idea behind the themes of the game art is to give the mythological chess figures some background. For instance the god Pan. The ancient story tells us that he was a beast lurking, hiding to see if he could catch those beautiful nymphs. In the fresco's you can see how he takes those nymphs and how the soldiers, who wanted the woman for themselves, are going to battle against him. Lovechess The Greek Era website As the artist of the erotic fresco's inside the Lovechess Temple I often get the question to submit some background information about them. First the style of the erotic fresco's. My inspiration comes form the Greek vase decorations. The original vase decorations comes in two kinds. The red on black and the black on red version. I used both, because it gave me the graphical freedom I needed to get a more rich result. I also looked at the Egyptian wall decorations. They have a more story telling approach in the way they organize their images an a wall. Both used a rather 2 dimensional way of representing the world and with a strong linear character of the design. So basically I used the same style as those, with a Egyptian way of organizing the images. The Lovechess erotic art is a combination of this different cultural art backgrounds. Just like the real Greek decorations the objects tell us more about the scene. The Amphora's used for wine, Pan was the musician at related articles:
