I admire the art of Francis Bacon as long as I can remember. There is no other artist that can give a face to the human soul in such a direct and define way. And I just encountered his photographic counterpart in the erotic art of Michael David Andre. His erotic art displays the feeling, the ecstasy and the sensuality not only of the body itself but of the mind as well.
Francis Bacon
While I'm not going to compare the work of Andre with Francis Bacon's work this whole article, that's not my intention. It wouldn't do right to both artists work, I still want to provide some links to a couple of images to the art of Francis Bacon. Just as some background information, and maybe to share a little of my adoration.

The erotic art of Andre
Erotic art is usually about the sensuality and beauty of the nude human body itself. But the erotic art of Andre goes beyond this. His strange deformed humans having sex or posing are not appearing as real humans of flesh and blood. They are more a part of the spiritual world, the body is there, sometimes nearly visible and in a constant state of flux. The soul capturing parallel with the work of Francis bacon is obvious, well for me it is. The images are capturing the invisible feelings, thoughts in a way, that are experienced having sex or that are associated with sensuality.
I really like the way he exaggerates parts of the faces in the images. The eye that fills the head of a woman totally directing herself to her own inner world. Or the woman that screams out so loud having her orgasm that her whole face is just a screaming mouth. Marvelous deformations with a great intense expression.
For me the erotic art of Andre was a real discovery. True Erotic Art of the mind.
