Sex Museum in Rio |

Can architecture be erotic? Is such a thing possible? That's my first thought stumbling on this image on Sexblo.gs. It's a concept for a sex museum in Rio de Janeiro, a building dedicated to sex and it's history, designed to represent a gigantic uterus. The architect responsible for this idea is Igor de Vetyemy, a young Brazilian architect. The whole idea looks intriguing, mainly because of its organic shape and strange size. The fact that it's a representation of a female organ does not makes it more, or less, erotic in my opinion. That brings me back to my initial thought, is there such a thing as erotic architecture? Maybe the art of Atelier van Lieshout comes close, his rooms, or environmental art, can be erotic, like the cuddling bed from his 'Mobile Home' or his 'Womb House'. If there are readers who can provide me with some examples, names or images of erotic architecture, please take the time to contact me here.
